Meet Dr. Dixon

Dr. Timothy Dixon provides high-quality, compassionate care to all of his patients. He enjoys working with adults and children from different backgrounds to create life-changing confidence and smiles.

Fostering a family-centered atmosphere that establishes meaningful relationships is of the utmost importance to Dr. Dixon.

Serving Our Country

Before joining Dietrich & Kelso Orthodontics, Dr. Dixon spent ten years as an active-duty Dental Officer in the U.S. Army.

During his uniformed service time, he was stationed at Fort Belvoir, VA, Fort Stewart, GA, Fort Sam Houston, TX, Louisville, KY, and deployed to the Horn of Africa (HOA) to support Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).

Dr. Dixon’s last stop on active duty was as a staff orthodontist on Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. During this time, he was also an attending for the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program (TORP) and an orthodontic staff for the oral and maxillofacial surgery program at Brooke Army Medical Center.

Background

Dr. Dixon began his collegiate journey at West Virginia University, where he played football for a brief stent before moving back to Las Cruces, NM, where he completed his undergraduate degree.

He then moved to Kansas City and completed dental school on the Armed Forces Health Professional Scholarship( HPSP).

Dr. Dixon was selected to complete orthodontic training at the University of Louisville after dental school.

Outside of the Office

Dr. Dixon grew up a military dependent and was fortunate to live in numerous places in the U.S. and abroad while his father was in the Navy. He and his wife, Ashley, live in Safety Harbor, FL, with their two children, Kallum and Lyra, Belgian Malinois, Kiska, and their cat, Tristan.

In his free time, Dr. Dixon enjoys spending time with his family, watching football, and taking advantage of all the outdoor activities Florida has to offer.
