Dr. Kelso joined the Dietrich & Kelso family in 2017. He was the best choice to join our highly proficient and skilled orthodontic team, and he enjoys the camaraderie and collaboration of working with such an experienced professional. Dr. Dietrich and Dr. Kelso work together seamlessly to create extraordinary smiles that will last a lifetime.

At Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Kelso graduated at the top of his class and was selected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society, which is bestowed upon those with the highest achievements in dental scholarship, professionalism, and ethics.

Dr. Kelso is devoted to continuing education and is constantly pursuing ways to improve treatment and comfort for his patients. He is also dedicated to the highest professional standards and providing patients with superior care.

Dr. Kelso is a member of many professional associations and is a board-certified orthodontist and member of the American Board of Orthodontics.

Serving Our Country

Dr. Kelso received the Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship (HPSP) and served as a Dental Officer in the United States Navy for four years.

During his military tenure, Dr. Kelso was highly decorated and selected for the coveted LTJG Weedon E. Osborne Memorial Award for outstanding performance while deployed to Afghanistan with the Fleet Marine Force in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).

Outside of the Office

Dr. Kelso is a Florida native from the Fort Lauderdale area and relocated to Lakeland after completing his education and military service. He and his wife, Shannon, have two daughters Kaia and Francesca. Dentistry runs deep in the family as his wife is also a dentist and owner of Kelso Family Dental in Lakeland.

Dr. Kelso enjoys spending most of his free time with his family, but he’s also a big sports enthusiast who enjoys fitness and exercise, traveling, snowboarding, and the beach. Dr. Kelso is grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of all of the wonderful communities his practice serves!
