Meet Dr. Cornejo

Dr. Stephanie Arrouet Cornejo is an orthodontic specialist with over 25 years of experience owning and operating her own private orthodontic practice in Winter Haven. With a deep love for creating beautiful smiles and uplifting her patients’ self-confidence, Dr. Cornejo finds immense joy in the friendships she builds with each patient and their families.

Education & Experience

Dr. Cornejo earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania before achieving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the top of her class with high honors at LSU. Next, she completed a postgraduate degree in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at LSU, followed by earning another postgraduate degree as a Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at LSU. Dr. Cornejo’s commitment to staying at the forefront of her field is evident through her engagement in continuous education. Throughout the year, she actively participates in professional orthodontic meetings, study clubs, and webinars, and keeps updated with monthly orthodontic journals and publications.

Outside of the Office

Dr. Stephanie Cornejo is married to Dr. Rigo Cornejo, DMD, MD,an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Winter Haven Oral Surgery. Over the last 30 years, they have collaborated professionally on many cases together, coordinating treatment between their two specialties to provide seamless care for their patients. They have three grown children who were all raised in Winter Haven, and have since moved onto college and careers. With a lifelong love for animals and nature, Dr. Cornejo has four
dogs as members of their family also.

In her free time, Dr. Cornejo enjoys yoga, pickleball, and traveling to beautiful destinations. She is also an artist and refinishes furniture as well as paints acrylic on canvas. She believes that orthodontics is the perfect profession for her because it combines her two true passions: art and science!
